Scale has successfully built and assembled numerous salt
domes. Scope included the installation of the foundation ring of
vertical concrete and forming each structure from hundreds of
prefabricated concentric panels.

A 216,000 sf new structure was built within the existing
plant. The completed facility includes an assembly and test room, hydraulic
room, oil supply room and equipment platform area. Mechanical equipment
was airlifted onto the existing roof.

USCG Calumet Harbor Station

Complete upgrade
of this 16,400-sqft base, to bring it up to Homeland Security
standards. Facility was fully operational during project without
interruptions to the Coast Guards operations.

USCG Boat Maintenance Facility

The project began with pipe piles that were tied together
with a cast in place grade-beam and frame system for a pre-cast
structural floor system. The building included an office build out and
industrial utility capacity. All work was completed while maintaining
the operation and security of this critical Homeland Security facility.

Midway Airport Sleep Inn Hotel

hotel. Due to our innovative construction techniques, the project
was completed ahead of schedule.

This project was a complete
exterior and interior renovation and restoration of this Historic
church that was built in 1853.
A great deal of interaction with the church community was required
throughout the life of project
Scale Construction Inc was awarded this project though
negotiated selection by the Archdiocese of Chicago. The new parish
center tenant improvement consisted
of meeting rooms, living quarters and office space, along with
conference space.

Ontario Street Post Office

This project for the USPS included major remodeling six of
high-volume Post Offices. Each facility remained in full operation
during the renovation.

John H. Hamline School, Maria
Saucedo Magnet School/ Telpochcalli School

The contract consisted
of two schools being renovated simultaneously. Hamline and
Saucedo/Telpochcalli were completely renovated. At
Saucedo/Telpochcalli, the visual center point of the school’s
auditorium was replaced with a magnificent 40’ by 30’ arched window.

As part of the
revitalization of the Chicago Public Schools, Scale has completed over
45 million in renovation work with the Board of Education, the
Construction Manager, the principal and most importantly the students
to stay on the critical path and to secure a safe working
environment. Along with renovation, new construction and tenant improvements were also
included.

Metra Roselle Commuter Station

New masonry structure with a façade graced with sweeping
masonry arches and granite bases. The new site consists of a 5900-sqft
building plus platforms and parking lots. Throughout the life of the
project there were no interruptions to the Metra Operations, where
thousands of commuters move through daily.

Michigan Avenue Bridge House Museum

Built in the early 1900’s this five story bridge house on
the Southwest corner of Wacker and Michigan is now the home to the
city’s skinniest museum. Scale Construction worked with the Friends of
the Chicago River and Cotter Consulting to convert this bridge house.

City Solar Project

The largest Urban Solar Field in the United States

Scale is responsible for the support structure of
this massive array, including excavation, driving of piers and concrete
foundation work for this 30 acre solar field. Given the project’s
area which is comprised of abandon Pullman factory site, the major
challenge of this site was working around the extreme unforeseen
conditions with rest of the project team to make key completion dates.

CTA Maintenance Shop - Des Plaines Terminal

Divane Electric contracted Scale Construction to
execute the general building and non-electrical work for this
logistically challenging CTA project. The postage stamp sized site was
bordered by six active sets of electrified train rails, a train
maintenance building, a very active access road and an overhead
stationary crane, along with underground utilities and vaults.
